Fireworks Biography

Fireworks are a band hailing from Metro Detroit, Michigan, United States who formed in 2005. Since debuting they have released three studio albums along with four EP's and become one of the most acclaimed and respected pop-punk acts of this millenium. In the world of punk rock, you don't get the kind of success stories you get in most other genre's of music. No true punk band is going to spring out of the woodwork fully formed and immediately score a number one single with their very first release, but Michigan's own Fireworks are as close any any punk band's going to get to that kind of success. Mere months after Tymm Rengers, Kyle O'Neil, Chris Mojan, Brett Jones and David Mackinder came together in 2005 they had recorded a six song demo tape that would eventually get them signed to Run For Cover Records halfway through 2006. Their first EP, a professionally recorded version of their demo tape titled “We Are Everywhere”, came in December of the same year and was a hugely acclaimed hit in punk scenes all over the world. As a result, the band began adopted a truly punishing tour schedule and haven't really stopped since then, touring with the likes of New Found Glory, Saves The Day and embarking on their first European tour in 2009 supporting Set Your Goals. By then they had released their debut album “All I Have to Offer Is My Own Confusion”, which solidified the band as genuine punk rock contenders to be ranked alongside the likes of The Menzingers, Four Year Strong and The Wonder Years. They've since released a further two critically acclaimed albums entitled “Gospel” in 2011 and “Oh, Modern Life” in 2014, and it doesn't seem like anything can stop the momentum of this most special of rock bands. In all, they come highly recommended. Read more
